There are four plans: Free at $0, Starter at $29 a month, Growth at $79 a month and Scale at $199 a month. Prices are per workspace, not per agent, and every plan — including Free — includes AI triage on every inbound message.
What changes between plans is capacity rather than intelligence: how many agents can sign in, how many channels you can connect, how many conversations you can handle, and how many AI replies are included.
The Free plan is permanent. There is no time-limited trial to expire and no payment card required to create a workspace.
A conversation is a thread with one customer on one channel, counted once in the month it starts. Twenty messages back and forth with the same customer is one conversation, not twenty, and the counter resets on the first of each month.
AI replies are metered separately, because a conversation the AI answers and one an agent answers cost different amounts to run. Each plan lists both numbers.
Start on Free and let volume decide. Move to Starter when you need a second channel or a third agent, to Growth when you need shift-based routing or a custom domain, and to Scale when you need an audit log or SLA reporting — typically an agency running several client workspaces.
Plan changes take effect immediately and are made from Settings → Billing by an Admin. Downgrading keeps your history; it only lowers the ceilings.
Yes, one: Meta bills your business directly for WhatsApp Cloud API conversations. DashDesk does not resell WhatsApp messaging and takes no margin on it, so those rates are whatever Meta charges you. Instagram Direct, Facebook Messenger and web chat have no per-message fee.
